Intermediate Knitting - Knit Beyond Basics

In this hands-on intermediate knitting course, you will build on your existing skills and expand your techniques step by step. Bring your own projects or receive individual support while learning new techniques such as cables, raglan construction, intarsia, and lace stitches. The course is taught in English, with support in German available if needed.

Content:
Participants will deepen their knitting knowledge and explore advanced techniques, including:

- Cable patterns
- Raglan shaping
- Intarsia colorwork
- Lace patterns and stitches
- Individual projects brought by participants

3. Method:
The course is practical and individually guided. Each participant receives support with their own project, while new techniques are demonstrated and practiced step by step. There is space for individual questions and personal progress. Participants are encouraged to bring their own projects and receive expert guidance to complete them successfully.

4. Goal:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

- Apply advanced knitting techniques such as cables, raglan shaping, intarsia, and lace
- Plan, adjust, and complete their own knitting projects independently
- Solve individual knitting challenges and creatively combine techniques
- Gain confidence and fluency in knitting

5. Target group:
This course is aimed at knitters with basic skills who want to expand their techniques, as well as participants who have completed the beginner?s knitting course and wish to build on their practice.


Instructor Sara Stenbæk is a knitting and crochet designer with extensive experience in textile art, upcycling, and creative projects for youth and adults. She holds a B.A. in Humanities (Psychology, Philosophy, and Philosophy of Science) from the University of Roskilde, Denmark, and an M.A. in Applied Anthropology and Community Art from Goldsmiths University of London. The craft of knitting and crochet has been passed down through her family over many generations. My teaching is practical, individualized, and tailored to the needs of each participant. I guide knitters step by step as they learn advanced techniques and work on their own projects. My goal is to foster creativity, confidence, and independence in knitting while ensuring participants enjoy the craft.
